Presents Danny Hoskinson

(The Bucket Man)
Danny has been called many names during his life as an artist, and used many of them to sign his works. Starting in 1999 he has signed his work "HOSS" for the nickname given to his father years ago when he worked in the sawmill.
When people see his art for the first time they have to ask, "How did you come up with this idea?" Actually, his torched plastic" has been in development since July 4, 1987 when he was living in Atlanta, Georgia. He went to Lake Lanier with some friends for a picnic, and started burning and shaping plastic picnic utensils with his lighter. He experimented with this idea for about four years until he graduated to the plastic bucket.
Shortly thereafter he moved home to Tennessee where he developed faces on plastic buckets. After becoming bored he then found the "meltdown process." The larger torch opened the door to endless possibilities which continues today.
Danny says that while working he likes to think that, "I am teaching the plastic to be art and the plastic is teaching me to be an artist."
